Details of the Boeing 777-300ER
Cathay pacific approaching Schiphol's runway 06 after a long flight from Hongkong.
The engine blades create some nice shadows/light on the inside of the engine.
On the landing gear you can see the hydraulic pressure system which absorbs the weight of the plane during the landing.
Brussels airlines arriving
The moon is setting over the city of Brussels and you can see the first part of the sun rising in the reflection below the cockpit.
Orangepride heads towards Rio
Made to be the plane to bring the olympic sporters to Rio and get them back on their "medal flight". Here she is indeed seen on take off to Rio.
Approaching Brussels
While the moon is about to set and the sun is about to rise, this United Boeing 777 is about to land at Brussels airport after a transatlantic flight during the night.
KLM "orange pride" on the taxiway.
KLM decided to put a special paint on one of the Boeing 777-300ER's for the olympic games. The front part of the plane is orange with the dutch flag as a line underneath it.
Halfway down the plane this orange colors changes into regular KLM blue.
Here you can see the plane facing me when it is taxiing out for departure on a very long flight to Tokyo Narita airport.
The plane you can see behind this plane is an Airbus 380 from Emirates which is also taxiing to the departure runway heading for Dubai.
Boeing 747 landing with condensation made by the humid weather which also caused the fog.
For the first time in over 50 days i went to the airport again, because the weatherprediction was quite good. Turned out that for once the weather forecast was right. I was treated on some very nice shows by the planes.
Jet airways landing
Autumn at Schiphol airport always comes with some early morning fog. Here you can see a Jet airways A330 from Toronto (and later to Mumbai) breaking through the fog. Due to the forces from the wings the fog "rolls" to the side creating some kind of tunnel for the plane to fly through.
KLM 747 about to land
One of many daily KLM 747's which lands in the early morning. Unfortunately they are getting more rare, because KLM is slowly phasing them out. They are being replaced by planes with 2 engines which are cheaper to maintain then 4 engines. Technology has shown that currently planes with 2 modern engines have even more capacity than the older 4 engined 747.
Love it when a plan comes together
The Boeing 737 is seen landing on runway 18C "Zwanenburgbaan" while flying in front of the sun and the control tower of the Polderbaan. This control tower was built because the Polderbaan is too far away to see clearly from the normal control tower at Schiphol.
Royal flight of Oman
A4O-OMN is the plane used by the king of Oman. It was very special to be this close to the plane while it was taxiing, since it's a very special plane.
WOW air creating his own cloud on departure
It's going back to Iceland and shows us some nice colors in the sky instead of the blue "boring" sky.
Sunrise arrival
A KLM 777 arrives back in Amsterdam from Tehran at the exact moment the sun rises over the horizon.
Mooncross
The Singapore Boeing 777-300ER from Singapore airlines was enroute from Singapore to London Heathrow airport. The moon was just "passing" the airway the Singapore airlines was flying in resulting in a "hit" for me :D
Martinair Boeing 747 landing
An option for a good sunrise picture will always get me out of bed early. This particular day also looked promising on the weather websites, so i took the gamble and it paid off again :D
Landing before sunrise at Schiphol airport in Amsterdam, The Netherlands
This Delta Airbus A330 is about to land after a transatlantic flight from the USA. Delta operates +/- 20 daily flight into Amsterdam with Airbus 330's and Boeing 767's. Together with KLM they serve a big amount of cities in the USA. They also make use of KLM's big European network to offer easy connections to their passengers.
